Posted in Uncategorized on 07/14/2009 07:25 pm by adminDear Friends of Ausar Auset Society:
As you know these difficult financial times have negatively impacted an untold numbers of businesses, of all sizes around the country, including ours.
In the last several months our businesses have been severely affected by not only this sever economic down turn, but also by the ongoing construction of both the street and sidewalk on Germantown Avenue. In many cases customer initially think we are closed during the construction, and that discourages almost all of the foot traffic to the front door of the business. Therefore, we find ourselves in vital need of funds in order to keep our building from foreclosure, and we are asking for your help in reaching our fundraising goal of $20,000.
The bulk of these funds are due by August 1st, so in order to raise funds quickly we are selling raffle tickets for a drawing that will take place on September 20,2009 at the Philadelphia Kamit fest. The prizes for the raffle are as follows:
First Prize $500
Second Prize $200
Third Prize $150
If you would like to purchase raffles or participate in selling raffles please see the staff at our store or any member who will provide you with all of the materials needed to help with that effort. Alternately, you can choose to make cash donations at the businesses if you like.
As you know the work that goes into developing community programs and services, as well as into providing a place where people can learn about spiritual culture and dine on delicious and healthy food would not be possible without your help.
We thank you in advance for your continued support in these difficult economic times when extra dollars are precious and few.
Peace and Blessings
Ur Aua Tehuti Khamau
